Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

1. Introduction

OliveRadar ("we", "us", "our") operates the OliveRadar website and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

2. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

OliveRadar
Athens, Greece
Email: privacy@oliveradar.com

3. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account information (name, email, company name, role)
  • Market activity data (market interests submitted through the platform)
  • Communication data (contact form submissions, support requests)
  • Technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, access logs)
  • Cookie data (a sign-in cookie and, if you choose a language, a language cookie)

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the platform
  • To process and display market interests
  • To identify compatible counterparties
  • To communicate with you about your account
  • To improve the platform through aggregated analytics
  • To comply with legal obligations

5. Legal Basis

  • Contract performance (providing the service you registered for)
  • Legitimate interest (improving the platform, preventing fraud)
  • Consent (marketing communications)
  • Legal obligation (regulatory compliance)

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Market interests may be displayed in aggregated or anonymised form. Participant identity is protected until you use the introduction or response workflow. We may share data with service providers (hosting, email delivery) under appropriate data-processing agreements.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account and up to 3 years after deletion for legal purposes. Market interest data may be retained in anonymised form for market analysis. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@oliveradar.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

OliveRadar uses only the two cookies listed below. Both are set by OliveRadar itself.

The OliveRadar app keeps its short-lived sign-in token in memory only, not in browser storage.

If you open an organisation invitation link, the app keeps the invitation code in your browser's local storage until you accept or decline the invitation, so that you can complete it after confirming your email address.

If you choose a light or dark appearance, your browser's local storage keeps that choice (oi_theme) so that OliveRadar opens in the same appearance. It is removed when you return to your device's setting and is never sent to OliveRadar.

The OliveRadar app can be installed on your phone or computer. Whether you install it or use it in a browser tab, your browser keeps a cache of the app's static files only (its start page, scripts, styles, fonts and icons) so that it opens quickly, even on a weak connection. The cache never holds personal data or the information the app shows you, such as prices, Interests or your account details: that information is always loaded from OliveRadar's servers. To delete the cache, uninstall the app if you installed it and clear OliveRadar's site data in your browser settings (often called "Clear site data"). Clearing site data also signs you out and removes your language and appearance choices on that device.

OliveRadar uses no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies. Fonts and application files are served from OliveRadar's own servers rather than from third-party services.

Because OliveRadar uses only a strictly necessary sign-in cookie and a language cookie that is set only when you choose a language, we do not ask for cookie consent. If we introduce other cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Without the sign-in cookie, you will not stay signed in to the app. Without the language cookie, OliveRadar chooses a language based on your browser settings.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure authentication, and access controls.

11. International Transfers

Your data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). If data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
